Abstract Infinitely variable transmission (IVT) is a system which delivers the ratio between two turning elements to continuous (non-discrete) variation (including zero). This article uses Solidworks software build and simulate cam-based IVT system. There are identical units in under examination. Each unit comprises cam with an oscillating slot connection that swings on hinge can be vertically shifted by changing rate. modifier power screw or hydraulic ram. In addition, grooved wheel followers actuator included units. The raised wheels swing rotating movement, such they coupled single-way clutch output shaft (ratchet) move one way. Further research therefore urgently needed choice more efficient ratchets.
